The Finance Committee met today to prepare the proposed budget and review expenses of the last year. Excellent minds and wise decisions made the tough work much easier than expected. Thank you to these ladies for being good administrators of our funds, and for a very pleasant day.
As I left my home to attend a 4 chapter visit, I thought, "What a wonderful drive this will be!" And it was, but little did I know what a wonderful visit I would have with Kappa, Alpha Kappa, Beta Iota, and Beta Theta sisters. As you can see, the decorations were lovely and poet and president of Beta Iota, Louise Hesse shared a poem about the scrap booking purses - adorable. We were entertained by a music student (who will go far!) of Kappa president, Donna Houser. Gifts, laughter, conversation, and discussion about our Society made the day complete.
These chapters are vitally important locally, as well as at the state and international levels. This photo is of the incoming presidents, and I can tell you with certainty that the members are in good hands for the next biennium!
My Saturday was spent with the York County chapters of Eta, Beta Beta, Beta Gamma, and Beta Delta. Laughter was shared. Friendships were made and rekindled. Leadership, and service to their community was evident in the business of their chapters. The facility was beautiful, and the food delicious. Did I mention that I was so glad to be a part of this group? Well, I was! Thank you York County chapters for allowing me to visit with you, and for your continued commitment to DKG.
