Giving With a Purpose
The Educational Excellence Committee (EEC) is excited about the planned Purposeful Seminar to be held on June 21st before the upcoming state convention. Learning about and participating in the work of both Ten Thousand Villages and the Mennonite Central Committee in Lancaster County will be the Seminar’s focus. Please read the full article on the Purposeful Seminar elsewhere in this issue of the Keystonian.
You can help DKG’s commitment to support the Mennonite Central Committee’s work in 45 countries by bringing items to state convention to supply School Kits and/or Relief Kits. This can be done as an individual or as a chapter project. Any or all of the materials for these kits will be welcome.
School Kits: Notebooks and pencils are treasures for families who struggle to afford basic school supplies. School kits are often requested after disasters and help bring normalcy to children whose families have been forced to flee their homes.
Contents (New items only)
Relief Kits: Relief kits provide valuable supplies to families whose lives have been disrupted by war or disaster. An immediate need currently exists in Ukraine.
