This year we will have society workshops as well as personal and professional growth workshops. If you are an active teacher and wish to receive Act 48 hours, please indicate this on the registration form. Eligible workshops have an * and a fee of $10.00 (covers leadership workshops & convention workshops) must be included with your registration. You will receive further information at the convention. I purchased Hummingbird robot kits with the 2021 Nancy Grove Visionary Fund grant from DKG PA. This workshop will review what we did with the kits as well as allow participants to learn how to build with hummingbird kits. If you have a smartphone or iPad, please download the Bird Blox app prior to the workshop. Ideas and inspiration will be provided!

Communication through social media can increase your impact on your community through local projects. How do you use social media in your chapter? What additional platforms would you like to use? Join us and expand your repertoire. Hunt and peck no more social media to explore.
*Relaxation Training: Learn how to leave your stress behind! - Marjorie Paradise
This workshop will provide ways to enhance relaxation with the use of breathing techniques, progressive muscle relaxation and imagery. Participants will have the opportunity to practice these techniques during the workshop!

Join International Guest June Bowers to share your DKG voice. Possible discussion topics may include: How do you contribute to DKG? How do you want to contribute to the Society? What are you proud of in your chapter? What questions or concerns do you have?
* Read Aloud STEM Challenges – Jessica (Jadi) Redcay
At this workshop, participants will learn how to use the Engineering by Design (EbD) process to create STEM Challenges based on read alouds. Participants will take part in a Read Aloud STEM Challenge. Different stations will be available to explore different Read Aloud STEM Challenges. Various free resources like the PDE STEM Toolkit will be shared. This session will provide participants with lesson plans that can be used immediately in the classroom.
*Mind Your Body - Melissa Moorhead

Sitting is the new smoking! If you are dealing with lower back and hip pain, yoga may be just what the doctor ordered. You can start a home practice (with your doctor’s okay) in as little as 10 minutes per day. Learn ten poses to relax and strengthen your body. We will discuss good practice form and identify the muscles engaged in each pose. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it and practice with us!
