Welcome to the Pennsylvania State Organization of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. On January 23, 1937, we began our vision as Leading Women Educators who are Impacting Education Worldwide. Today we represent 54 chapters across Pennsylvania nearly 2500 educators strong.
I challenge each of you to broaden your DKG…Circle of Membership and take a new journey on a completely new ship, or stay on board your current ship but with a new destination. What ship will you be on: Scholarship, Leadership, Mentorship, Fellowship, Friendship? There are many ships that you could sail and many voyages you could explore.
Challenge yourselves to try something new or increase your involvement in areas you have already tried. Move toward your goals and desires one day at a time. Don`t say I will do that one day, but make today day one…the Daffodil Principle. Find your passion. What would be good for you and DKG?
Encourage others to recognize and use their potential in all aspects of our society. We must progress with the times and maintain the passion and pride that keeps DKG a leader of women and a promoter of education. I encourage you to spread the word about DKG’s vision, its goals and accomplishments to educators and the community we live in.
A circle is never ending and so is our involvement in Delta Kappa Gamma. We must preserve the past, embrace the present and welcome the future as we journey forward and sail into DKG…A Circle of Membership.
