PROJECT PROMOTES LITERACY
Look closely!
The above pictures are not what they appear to be.
It’s NOT a mailbox! It’s NOT a bird house!
It’s a “LITTLE FREE LIBRARY”!
The “LITTLE FREE LIBRARY” project came into existence in 2009 when Todd Bol of Hudson, Wisconsin placed a home-made wooden box on a pole in his front yard. Bol painted the box to look like a one-room schoolhouse. Inside were books – free for the taking. And, so, the movement began. There are currently 32,000 Little Free Library book exchanges across the 50 states and 70 countries…
Our Pennsylvania Project for 2015-2017 is the
“Little Free Library”
“Take a Book, Return a Book”
