Here is your opportunity to use your Voice and have a Choice in DKG PA!
Below are some helpful hints to help you be prepared and get the most out of the weekend.
- Dress for convention weekend:
- Wednesday – casual
- Thursday – Business casual
- Thursday Evening – Your Best Dressy (dress or pants)
- Friday – casual/traveling clothes
- There is air conditioning at the Wyndham Resort and Convention Center, please dress in layers or bring a sweater, pashmina or jacket
- The chorus will be rehearsing throughout the weekend. Even if you did not sign up for the chorus, you can still join in and sing with the group. Just go to their practices!
- Evaluations are important! We want to hear your thoughts and suggestions. Before you leave on Friday, please return your evaluation to the registration table or do it online like you did your registration.

- Check in for the Wyndham Resort and Conference Center Hotel is 4:00 PM.
- Check in at DKG Registration, lower level, to get your materials for Convention between 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM. You may wish to put your name on the program in case you misplace it.
- Bring your sparkly “bling lanyard” from previous conventions. If this is your first convention, you will get a lanyard at registration.
- Bring your favorite DKG bag from a previous convention. If this is your first convention, you will get a DKG bag at registration.
- Buy chances for the raffle baskets donated by the chapters. There are times throughout convention when you will have time to put your tickets in to win. Some members bring address labels to place on their tickets. Proceeds from the raffle baskets defray the convention costs.
- Stop by the Tech Table and learn how to set up your My DKG account and/or DKG app.
- Attend Nibbles & Network! This is new this year and a great way to connect with members on topics you both have an interest in and/or learn more about that topic.
- Attend the Album of Distinction, presented by our State EEC Committee. At this ceremony, recognition is given to our members’ accomplishments outside of DKG.
- Album of Distinction Reception & Art Gallery follows the ceremony. Relax with some refreshments and a non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage from the Cash Bar. President Eileen’s signature drink, Prosecco, will be available all weekend.
- EEC Social, presented by our EEC State Chair, Royce Boyd and committee is open to all convention attendees. We will be playing Music Bingo again! Come join the fun and get to know other DKG sisters.

- All First Timers to the Convention are invited to the Continental Breakfast. You are in a separate room with Marcie Erickson, State Second Vice President and Membership Chair and the Membership Committee. You will meet other first timers, State Officers, and our International Guest, Susan Perkins. Make sure to sign up for the breakfast when you register.
- Attend the Executive Board and First General Session in the ballroom. President Eileen will be presiding over the society business and Susan Perkins our International Guest will share an update from International.
- Attend workshops in the morning and the afternoon. This year all workshops are personal or professional growth topics. Many are available for Act 48 credit! There are 6 workshops in the AM and 6 workshops in the PM.
- Our Celebration Luncheon is chaired by Royce Boyd, our State First Vice President and EEC Chair. Join in celebrating Birthday Chapters and members with 40+ years of membership. Congratulate any member who has received their doctorate degree. Our Keynote speaker, Kim Kluxen Meredith will share about her three children’s picture books. The three storybooks are about the adventures of a hermit crab family. Each book has a universal message for young readers and their families.
- Thursday Evening Banquet is chaired by Marcie Erickson, our State Second Vice President and Membership Chair. This year we honor our Current Chapter Presidents. Chair Nancy Schnelli and the State Achievement committee will present the State Achievement Award. The State Chorus directed by Karlie Vaughn, Visual & Performing Arts Chair, will share their talents with us. We will end the evening by singing the DKG song.

- The Celebration of Life is presented by Marcie Erickson, Second Vice President and the Membership Committee. It is our time to remember our sisters who have passed away since Convention 2022. It is always a beautiful and memorable ceremony.
- At the Honors Breakfast, Second General Session, we will share the excitement of members receiving Scholarship and Enrichment Grants presented by our Scholarship Chair, Susan Martin and her committee. The Nancy Grove Visionary Award recipient will be recognized. DKG Pennsylvania State Organization business will be discussed and voting on the 2023-2024 budget will occur during the Second General Session.
- Check out of the Wyndham Resort and Conference Center by 11:00 AM
