*Title: Coping With Grief and Learning to Live Again
Presenter: Kim Kluxen Meredith
Grief is an unwelcome visitor in anyone’s life. But we cannot escape its presence as it barges in anyway. What we do with it is the key. When a single car accident left my forty-five-year-old husband a quadriplegic for two weeks before his death, I realized that life never really was in my control and now I had to deal with it.
I learned how to listen to my inner soul, my whispers. This did not come easy at first. Doubt and intense heart ache took over at times as I singularly parented two elementary school children. But the more I trusted myself and accepted my fate, the stronger I grew.
My book, Listen for the Whispers: Coping with Grief and Learning to Live Again will be featured in this workshop. I intend to project a message of hope, resilience, and provide some tools to open up your heart in order to a return of a joyful life.

Presenters: Grace Julian & Beth Horst
Most of us heard "Eat your vegetables!" at some point in our lives. For some, this was an unwelcome command as we stared at a plate of overcooked green beans. What if there was a way to encourage students to eat vegetables from a place of curiosity? Beth Horst and Grace Julian, Co-founders of The Edible Classroom, will share what they see on a daily basis...if children are part of the process, they are more inclined to taste their vegetables. Bringing state standards, healthy eating and environmental stewardship into the realm of exploration and discovery is what ignites our passion. Join us for a literal taste of garden education.
